How can I view photos on a cd with my toshiba laptop?

I am trying to view some photos that are on a cd on my Toshiba laptop, do not know how, tried to put the cd in the case but nothing happened.

Put the CD in, go to My Computer and see if the CD shows up. If not, the CD reader might not be working properly.

STOP bumping your post! This is a volunteer to help forum, not a on demand service for you.

First what version of Windows is this? If it is Windows 8 it is different then Windows 7 or Vista, or XP, on how you open Windows Explorer and select the DVD drive to look at the files (pictures are files) on the drive. If you put in the DVD and you can SEE the DVD in Windows Explorer and nothing is on the CD, then it is empty. If it gives you a error message then that is something to address seperately. If this is a CD formatted in a odd format that your DVD drive might not be able to read at all? Did you check in another computer that the CD is still viewables / images intact RECENTLY?
