Question How can know the bios version of my new mother board ?

Hi
I've got a new mobo : MSI Z390-A Pro.
Saw that I had to have a bios patch installed in order to it to run with my intel i5-9600K processor.
But I do not know how to check the preinstalled bios version as my new pc does not start and get stuck at the cpu detection level...
Please advice. Thank you

If it's a new motherboard, it's probably running the oldest BIOS version listed in the motherboard manufacturer's website:
https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/Z390-A-PRO
I'm not sure if it really needs a BIOS patch.(8th and 9th gen. CPUs should run without a BIOS update.)

For MSI, the shipping BIOS is embedded in the serial number stickers on the ATX power connector or the back of the motherboard.

If that shows the same as the box sticker, then you probably have the oldest 7B98v10 dated 2018-08-16
