You're talking about the two boards that are removable correct?
Go to Start, All Programs, PC Help&Tools, Hardware Diagnostics Tools. This will test all hardware on your computer including the memory boards (RAM)
I followed the steps that you posted and I do not have a Hardware Diagnostics Tools; however, I have PC-Doctor for Windows. I ran the PC-Doctor test for memory and it said that it passed the memory pattern test. Does this mean that both of my memory boards are okay? Thanks - Sam
Yep... What issues are you having? You could always download and install CPU-Z to verify both sticks of RAM are working. It's a free tool that gives you specs on your system.
