how can you play TF with Half life 2?

It seems like I can't play Team fortress with my newly purchased half
life 2. How can I play it? I no longer have my key (or game for that
matter) for half life 1.

Also when is Team fortress 2 coming out? ( i thought Team fortress was
better then CS and HL!!!

tablets for it to work properly.

For the original question:

HL1 mods can't run with HL2

And TF for HL2 is a valve project (seen it on a valve itw) but they didn't
say anything about it !
