I've run into what seemed to be a very popular problem of Seagate External drive disconnecting/powering down often.
The more i kept plug/unplug 'ing the cables, the worse it got over the months.
Found the problem to be the usb 3.0 micro-b port on the device itself being a loose connection, not able to hold the cable connection well enough. Even though the device and cables are stationary, they still slip out of connection often, sometimes soon as it turns on.
Have tried several cables, all the same. The female port itself on the external drive is what's loose.
How can i tighten this female connection to this port. Or that of the male end of the cable tha tfits in there?
