Hello,
I have a Cooler Master Storm Stryker ATX full tower case, housing an ASRock Z97 EXTREME6 ATX LGA1150 motherboard, using a Corsair H105 73.0 CFM liquid CPU cooler (with its stock fans replaced with 2 Noctua NF-F12 PWM 55.0 CFM 120mm) in a push configuration exhausting out the top. This pc will be mainly for gaming.
(I'm pretty nooby at this; I think this is a push configuration exhausting out the top - it's what I have set up, anyways)
hot air
------------- case (outside of case ^, inside of case v)
radiator
fan fan
The problem is, the radiator fans won't fit into the recommended spot in the instructions (which uses 8 screws), due to this giant blue thing on the motherboard (I think it's a heat sink - I'm not tech savvy). It does fit if I move it up and over a little (which can only use 6 screws), but the fans and that giant blue mountain of a heat sink on the motherboard are so close (about 2-4mm apart).
Is a 2-4mm separation between radiator fans and a motherboard heat sink detrimental to my pc? Should I try to get a different case or motherboard? Is that space totally fine (no heat or weird electric field issues) and I'm worrying over nothing?
Thanks for any help.
