How come my laptop has Intel and Radeon graphics at the same time?

i have radeon 530 and intwl hd graphics 620... they are from different companies, they can neither do SLI or crossfire... how come I have them? is there a possible way to make them work together as one graphic card? I have a 7th generation cpu which I think can make what I'm asking for

Often laptops (including mine) have both the integrated graphics of the CPU (using the main system memory) and also the manufacturer has added a discrete GPU with its own separate dedicated vram. This will help for gaming or other more GPU intensive tasks, especially those that benefit from faster vram.
Theoretically at least, they could both be used together in a game supporting DX12 m-GPU, although the Intel 620 won't boost your performance in a tangible way I'd imagine in that scenario (if it even works at all).
