How configure Raid

I am installing a used HD in my Aspire AST180, it keeps sending me to Raid settings, what settings should i use ??? ie: spanning, mirroring ect ?

Change raid in the BIOS to ACHI mode or IDE mode

changing the SATA Operation in BIOS will stop windows from booting correctly. you will need to re-install windows if you want to switch SATA Operations.
