How connect a sas drive to a pc with a sata motherboard

I would like to connect a sas drive to a pc with a sata motherboard via a sas controller. Is this possible? If it is can you recommend one?

Thank you for your response. I am not trying to connect a sas drive to a sata port. I am trying to connect a sas drive to a pci controller that is connected to sata motherboard. Will this work?

I can't recommend one for an unknown system. I suggest making sure it supports working with your OS. Whatever that is.

Thank you Calvin. I have an amd64 sata motherboard with Windows 10. I have been looking at many different pci controllers. Unfortunately, I have not found any that specifically state that it supports what I have. I am a newby to sas controllers and I was hoping that it is possible to do it.

There are several cheap SAS controllers (PCIe interface) at Newegg. For example:

Personally, I wouldn't spend a lot of money on an adapter as new HDD prices are lower and performance faster than many older SAS drives.
