Question How could I achieve 144hz for my setup?

I have an Acer GN246HL monitor which supports HDMI, DVI, and VGA cables. My computer has a GTX 1660, and i7 processor with a DVI, HDMI, and Display Ports. I have tried a myriad of cables and cords to try and reach 144hz to no avail. Im simply wondering what kind of cable or if any would be able to help me as im not sure if they are even compatible. Some of this info may be skewed as i'm not an expert with computers/hardware in general and am capable of providing the right info if given instructions.

144hz does not show up as an option and when I set it up at 144hz on the custom resolutions on windows 10 it shows this, but it does not stay or work. I have a 144hz monitor and the hz has shown to be atleast 150 but it does not save or work in general.

so simply a DL-DVI or does it have to be a DVI-D
