Specs:
CPU :A10 7700k
GPU :Gtx 960 4gb EVGA SSC
Ram: 8gb 2133Mhz
OS: Windows 10

Games:

Arma 3

Dark souls 3

Shadow of Morodor

Gta 5

What if I overclock my cpu, will that make any difference?

Also this is my current system, don't tell me to buy a better one, because I not rich like some of people.

Solution
what resolution and ingame settings do you plan to use? you will definitely be able to run them but that will determine how well the games will play.

at default speeds for CPU/GPU you will probably get decent frame rates(between 45-60fps) at 720p with medium-high settings in GTAV & Shadow of Mordor. at 1080p probably closer to 30fps.

if you want better fps at higher resolutions you can upgrade certain aspects of your system, wouldn't necessarily need to buy a whole new one.

I heard apparently dark souls 3 is a really bad port. Will that affect performance? Also how do you ensure cpu gpu is turned off?

I want to run it on atleast 1600 x 900, but mostly on 1080p, at 30 or more fps- low settings. Is it true that the 4gb vram would give me a better performance in higher resolutions.

More vram does help with higher resolution and bigger textures, but you would still get better performance in lower resolutions.

for 1080p i would recommend 4GB. any higher than that and 6 or 8GB is a better option.

you should be fine with >=30fps at 1080p and a good mix of medium and high settings, just turn off AA and turn down/off shadows if it appears to be running under what you hoped for.

overclocking the CPU should help. just make sure you have a good aftermarket CPU cooler and decent airflow in your case to handle the excess heat.
