Ok, so I was browsing ASUS's ROG site and got bored and looked at world record overclocking. I came across this image (five clicks after clicking "world records") and about crapped myself

how in the living flabberdabber did this son of a gun overclock not one, but TWO xeon's that have their multipliers locked!?
I have zero overclocking experience, but I do know that xeons with a 2 in front of their numberings (2689 v3 etc etc) have their multipliers locked. Someone please explain this seemingly spiritual phenomenon before the insanity sets in?
