To add the ability to create and open zipped files, or as Microsoft call
them - compressed folders:
Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs | Windows Setup, select System Tools
and click Details and then check the box alongside "Compressed Folders",
then click OK and Apply.

If you have already installed Win Me's compressed folders and they no
longer appear to work try re-registering zipfldr.dll as follows:
Start, Run and enter in the box
REGSVR32 ZIPFLDR.DLL
and then click OK. If that fails then uninstall compressed folders (see
above) and then reinstall.

Mike.. In reading this thread , and having compressed files myself I looked
into the directions provided by you. Went to Systems Tools and found:
Accessibility Options and Accessibility Tools , no "Compressed Folders".

Boni,

I didn't say to look in the section "Accessibility" but instead said
select "System Tools" and then to click Details and then check the box
alongside "Compressed Folders", then click OK and Apply. Are you sure
you're looking in the right place?

I know what happened....Boni has to highlight "System Tools" first. The
highlighter was on the first option "Accessibility" when Details was first
clicked.

Looked in the wrong area. I got it now, also noted that Compressed Files was
already selected. Thanks.... Mike and Bart too. Is it safe to just right
click and delete some of the picture files. Others are Spybot & Destroy like
DSO, Gain etc.

boni.
