How do i add more disc space to my recovery drive

Hello,
i am not extremely computer literate. I have Win vista home with C drive 120Gb free of 220Gb and D drive 414Mb free of 9.5Gb ....I transferred most programs over to D drive so I can get m C drive to work faster, but it still does not as my defrag cant work due to my full D drive. How do I allocate more space to D Drive?

Trying to shuffle free space between the two partitions is not the answer.
You should consider buying a larger capacity hard drive and use the existing one for data backups.
