I recently bought a new laptop, the Asus Vivobook S530F. It's processor is the i5-8250u.

I have a seagate HDD with Linux Mint installed onto it. I like to use this as a mobile workspace for my programming. From my previous experience and research, this requires me to be able to enable CSM or Legacy mode within the BIOS in order to load the HDD through USB.

However, it seems that CSM is no longer available for intel chips from Coffee Lake and further : https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1039116/

What is an alternative method for me to load my HDD on this laptop?
