How do i bypass my password on laptop running vista

Can anyone help me?

I bought a new smaller laptop two years ago and stopped using my larger hp at that time. Now I am trying to retrieve some pictures off the hp and because I haven't used it in so long I have forgotten the password. I can sign on under my husbands account or as guest but can't do anything until I can get my password. Everything I try ask for admin. password. It is running Windows Vista of nearly two years ago.

Tom's Hardware doesn't provide help for password removal,because we can't determine ownership.Sorry.
