How do I change my WiFi from public to private?

Hi there,
I just bought a new gaming laptop but I am having some trouble with my WiFi. Everytime that I open the internet I get a warning from my antivirus program, Kaspersky, that I am at risk because I'm connected to a public WiFi and that I should not share any private information because public hotspots are unsafe. But it's my own private router and I have never had this issue before. How has it become public and how do I change this so that it's safe again? My desktop computer is connected to the same router via an ethernet cable and this message never shows on that computer only on the laptop with WiFi. I cannot find anywhere where I make my WiFi private, does anyone know how to fix this? I also, at aproximately the same time got an email from dropbox saying that someone requested a new password for my account and after that I got one from apple saying that someone logged in to my account with my apple ID, don't know if this is connected to my WiFi or not.. Hi, clic on the icon for the WiFi on the taskbar, clic on Open Network and Sharing Center. You will see the name for your router, clic on Public network, choose Home network. And you're done.
