How do I change the password on my wi-fi / router (192.168.0.1)?

You go into the admin settings, enter the current password and the new one and confirm it.

Can't say where the settings are as you haven't told us the model.

how do I find the admin settings for a D Link model WBR-2310 ROUTER I am totally ignorant of this stuff thanks

defaults are either admin / admin or admin / password or admin /(blank) or (blank) / password

You posted that into a six month old thread with no mention of Sky? Lots of Netgears have that URL whether they link to Sky or other ISPs.
