so i built my pc around 4 years ago and just recently purchased an ssd. Im a gamer and i wanted to get this ssd to boot my games faster and load in faster so i connected a sata cord to it and then into the motherboard and then the connected the one to give it power and before i did all this i did clear my harddrive and reinstall windows then i went to my motherboard bios and set the boot options to hard disk and then in the priorities for that i set ssd to number 1. So does this mean when i boot games now its booting from my ssd and not my hard drive? also i did go to my disk management and format it.

Solution
your games are only going to use the SSD if you installed them on there within windows. it is completely dependent on what drive you pointed to when the software installer asked you where to put the game. your bios settings aren't going to affect that. also it's not really clear from your post which drive you installed windows on. It would have been best to install your clean os on the ssd and keep your personal files on the old hard disk to have room for games on the ssd. this would speed up both your entire system as well as games.

yea, you will have to uninstall the game completely and select the other drive when you try installing again. the ssd is probably labeled D:/. you'll just need to change for example C:/program files/.../... to D:/program files/.../... that's all there is to it.
