[SOLVED] How do I clear a used ssd?

I just connected my mom's used SSD onto my PC, but there is stuff in it that I would like to get rid of. Does anybody know how to completely clear disk 1 SSD (screen shot below) so I get 500GB of SSD space to use?

When I right-click Disk 1 I don't see an option to clean. Would you be able to explain it more thoroughly?

Yes. Open command prompt and type in listed commands.

make sure disk 1 is the ssd!!

once you type clean then EVERYTHING is gone. verify it is disk 1 first and be very sure you mean it before entering that command

Depending on the model, you may be able to do an instantaneous cryptoerase or a "PSID revert". This just throws away the old security key and generates a new one, rendering the old data inaccessible.
