How do I connect a cra subwoofer to an aiwa receiver?

I am trying to reconnect my rca subwoofer to my 6 channel aiwa received.
The subwoofer uses wires.
The spring clips that holds the wires in place are both broken.
Is there another way to connect the subwoofer to the receiver?
Please help me.

If the subwoofer output of the Aiwa is also speaker wire then you can remove the terminal from the back of the RCA subwoofer. You will see two wires (red terminal is plus, black minus). If you don't want to replace the terminal you can splice the wires and use electrical tape to insulate them. Make sure to get the plus and minus correct. Seal the hole as best you can.
