How do I connect a Linksys EA-6900 router to a Comcast Wireless Gateway?

I have Comcast triple play and one of their wireless gateway all-in-one modems. I want to use my Linksys EA-6900 router for a couple of reasons, namely because it is way better than the Comcast unit and secondly, neither of my TiVo boxes will connect to the internet via the Comcast unit. How do I make the connection? Simply connect the two with a CAT5 cable from Port 1 on the Comcast to WAN on the Linksys? Thanks!

There are two ways you can connect them - first is connecting them as if they were a separate network (clients connected to the comcast modem directly won't be able to communicate with the clients connected to the Linksys router) - that would be connected comcast to WAN.

Second is connecting the Linksys as an "Access Point" - this gives full access to the network for all clients connected to the router: http://kb.linksys.com/Linksys/ukp.aspx?pid=80&app=vw&vw=1&login=1&json=1&docid=8b7479ec8abb4d1689ea076cbf8d87ea_KB_EN_v1.xml
