I have a Predator Helios 300 (PH315-51) and I'm trying to connect to my 144Hz Predator XBO monitor (XB240H).

The laptop only has a HDMI port whilst the Monitor has DisplayPort, HDMI and DVI.

Using HDMI -> HDMI I can only achieve 60Hz.

I bought a generic HDMI/DVI adapter and still only achieved 60Hz.

What possible methods is there to connect the laptop and monitor and run at 144Hz (Or 120).

Solution
If your laptop have a mini dp, then you can use dp cable to use the 144hz monitor.
And I see the HDMI of your Laptop is 2.0 at amazon.com
Using 144 with HDMI cable needs: the HDMI port of your laptop, the HDMI Cable and the port of your monitor should be HDMI2.0 (1.4Version support 120Hz, 24+5 dvi support 144Hz)
Hope this can help you
