Monitor is a benq gw2270 and gpu is a gigabyte GeForce gtx 1050 ti oc 4gb

This GPU? It has DVI-D, 3x HDMI and DP connection.
Gw2270 monitor specs says - DVI and D-SUB connections are available. May be you got wrong model number.

Anyway - connect using DVI-D cable, if your monitor has DVI,
or HDMI cable, if your monitor has HDMI.

On the pc it says gw22770 so I don’t think so and only vga or hdmi is available and aren’t vga and d sub the same?

I have my gpu in my motherboard and I connected the monitor to the motherboard but it doesn’t detect any signal why is this happening? Does inserting a gpu cause the motherboard one not to work unless I somehow switch it?
