My Pc (Windows 10) doesn 't recognise the headphones, microphone or speakers when plugged in; neither the front nor rear sockets seem to respond. I have updated the drivers, uninstalled, deleted, reinstalled, etc.
The headphone, microphone and speaker icons on the "Playback Devices" dialogue are constantly greyed out. I have tried just about everything I can find on the web about this issue but nothing has solved the problem.
There are 2 icons for S/PDIF which are enabled and set as default. One is labelled "default device", the other is labelled "default communication device".
On the rear of the PC is an S/PDIF socket which glows red, so appears to be working. What kit do I need to purchase to get sound working via the S/PDIF socket.
Thanks in advance for any helpful guidance.
