Hi!

I tried anything I can think of but nothing seems to work. When I connect something to the FA nothing happens when I plug something in the headphone jack.
Only ground seems certain, otherwise I tried plugging L/L- R/R- into 5/6 and 9/10 respectively, then inverted, then only one of them into 5 and 9. But the connection to the jack is never sense. In the driver software, the front headphone always stays dimmed and doesn't do anything when I click on it.
I of course set the on-board audio to AC'97. (Not that the pins match the connectors even with this....)
I ran out of ideas...

I have this in the manual:

I have these plugs:

I was hoping for a user's manual for the case. Guess that was asking too much from the Interwebz.

Anyway, I did find this post on another forum. Maybe it can help?

Ah, okay.
Well, that suggestion doesn't work either. Maybe the bios is crap. Or Asus' driver software.

Huh... Just noticed that it started producing sound, but in parallel with the back socket. Not sure when it happened, because I think the last few times I only checked wether something pops up or the front socket becomes enabled in the driver software. I wonder if it still works after a reboot....

Seems like the mobo or the driver is buggy.

If you're getting some sound, that's something. I'd probably go ahead and install the latest Audio Drivers again.

Well, what I figured out is that there's no sound when the output is set to 7.1. Otherwise I get sound on both jacks... Sensing connections don't work.
So I guess this is something. When I want to use my front jack I switch to stereo or some other.
