So i'm going to get the Zalman Z11 plus which comes with 5 fans. However, the mobo i'm going to get only has 3, 3 pin fan headers. I understand that you can get adapters to convert the 4 pin molex from the psu to a 3 pin, but i was wondering if something like this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Motherboard-Splitter-Adapter-Cable-Lead/dp/B003OSWPTE/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1387543607&sr=1-1&keywords=fan+controller would work. I am unsure if the power will just be split up between the different fans, meaning that they would not run as well.

(this is my current build)

Solution
Any kind of splitter or hub should work when you want to power more fans than your MOBO can handle. The good think about not using the molex converters is that you wouldn't be able to control fan speed, the fans would just stay at one speed. It's your choice, but I would recommend something like this splitter you showed us, or a power hub. I believe NZXT has a really nice fan hub system.

Hope this helps!

Ok so i think my best option for being able to connect up the five fans is to split two of the fan headers on my motherboard giving me 4, plus the one left over making 5. I looked at the fan controller however they were probably a bit too expensive.
Thanks for the help!
