Question How do I delete everything but the OS on a ssd

I have a ssd that I want to use from my old laptop is there a way I could delete everything but the OS from it and install it on a different computer?

If its windows 10 you can factory reset and transfer it, any older 8/7 would not work(?).

Delete everything, reinstall OS. You most likely will have to reinstall anyway.
Moving OS from one pc to another doesn't always work.
Likely problems:

system may not boot (incompatible boot mode),​

performance issues because of incompatible drivers,​

windows activation is broken and may not be fixed without clean reinstall.​

Always wipe/reinstall when moving a drive from one system to another. To do otherwise is simply asking for problems.

Then, you can "try", it should work without issue, but if you experience issues like bsod and etc Then i would opt out for fresh install.

You don't need it.
Transfer license through your MS account.
