How do I differentiate between Noctua low noise adapters?

Hey guys,
So I got myself in a pickle here. I have several Noctua fans I got for my build a while back and threw all the leftover pieces together.

Recently I've been working on noise, etc. and have been playing with the noise adapters, however I'm having issues differentiating between the two.

Here's a list of what I have and the descriptions for the noise adapters:

  • NH-D14: blue UNLA for P12; black UNLA for P14;
    NF-P14 (online FAQ): blue UNLA; black LNA;
    NF-P14 (on box): white UNLA; black LNA;
    NF-P12: blue UNLA; black LNA;
    NF-R8: black tape UNLA with white connector; red tape LNA with white connector;

The R8s are unused...All the noise adapters have black tape on them except for the LNA R8.

Basically, I wanna get the right connectors on the right fans.

Thanks guys!

I just assumed using Noctua's noise adapters would produce better (quieter) results than using my motherboard directly.
