How Do I Dual Boot Windows 8?

Although uninstalling any latest operating system from a computer is not practically possible as a complete removal of the OS is required, there can be several workarounds if a computer has a dual boot environment. A computer is in dual boot environment when it has two operating systems installed on it. While making a computer dual boot, it is strongly recommended that each operating system that the administrators plan to have on the PC must be installed at least on a separate partition of the hard disk drive (if not on a separate hard disk drive itself).

After the official release of Microsoft Windows 8, many users installed the new operating system along with the existing Windows 7, hence making the computer a dual boot. After installing Windows 8, if users decide to remove the new OS from the computer, they can remove the operating system without hampering or disturbing the functioning of existing Windows 7. In order to do so, a few tricky steps must be followed very carefully.

Note: Process of uninstalling Windows 8 described in this section does not actually uninstalls the operating system, but it gives a workaround that helps users remove Windows 8 from the computer and allows the system to work with Windows 7 as normally as it used to do, before making the computer a dual boot with Windows 8 installation.
