How do I enable G-Sync?

I've got a G-Sync monitor, and I've gone to the "set up G-Sync" section in the Nvidia control panel, and I've checked the box to enable it... But the option for G-Sync is not in the drop down box for Vsync in the "Manage 3D Settings" section.

The one holdup might be that it keeps telling me to set the G-Sync capable display as the primary monitor, but I only have one monitor hooked up. And when I click the link telling me to do that, my monitor is checked, but it's also greyed out. It's not letting me do anything on the multiple monitor page.

I'm using Windows 7, and I've had a G-Sync monitor work flawlessly this past Spring.

On a side note, the games are playing as if G-Sync is enabled (I think), because the frame rates are much higher than I expect, and all of the action is smooth... But the drop down box for Vertical Sync, in the Nvidia control panel, is not showing the G-Sync option, like I expected it to. It is only showing "on", "off", and "use the 3D application setting" for my options.

To enable G-sync, you'll need a g-sync compatible monitor with DisplayPort ports and use a DisplayPort cable.

And unless you're experiencing noticeable screen tearing, you don't need to use it.

They recently removed the G-SYNC option from the Manage 3D Settings menu, as I found out recently myself.

What this does now is dictate behavior *outside* of using G-SYNC. So if you have G-SYNC off, it will force whatever you have set up in that setting. Also, if you travel outside the bounds of G-SYNC (i.e. above 144 fps, or below 35 fps) it *should* dictate the behavior of how your monitor behaves until you get back inside the GSync range.

This is normal now, as long as it's selected in the separate G-Sync tab, you're good to go now.
