How do i erase my ssd and put a clean windows on it?

So basically i have only 1 harddrive in my laptop and its the ssd i want to erase and put my moms windows 10 thats running on her desktop downstairs on it and then put that back in my laptop.
If i have the Samsung ssd do i just do data migration when connected to her computer?

The desktop most likely has an OEM key, meaning that Windows is only for use on whatever PC it was originally installed on. If the desktop has a retail key for Windows 10 then you can move it from the desktop to the laptop, but you can't use it on both.
