I have physician (customer) using a Laptop extended to Monitor 2... it's working just fine. The physician wants to have a 3rd Monitor that shows (only what is displayed on Monitor 2) - never the Laptop Screen. I've watched endless videos on extending vs. cloning... but cannot find a solution where I extend to a monitor, and then clone (only) the extended display, to a 3rd monitor.

Could it be as simple as using an HDMI (or other connector) Splitter - and sending the extended display 'signal' to 2 monitors?
Unfortunately, I assisting him remotely, and am not able to test this with multiple monitors - from my home office.

I'm hoping someone can help. Thanks !

I'm new here : )

You just select the monitor, and select which screen you want it to duplicate. You don't have to extend all or duplicate all, you can have whatever option you want.

Thanks for replying .

And this setting would permit someone to open a new window on the Laptop, and drag it to Monitor 2... and whatever windows or actions viewable on that Monitor 2 - would be also be shown on Monitor 3 (simultaneously) ? This setting achieves this?

I guess the word "Desktop" in the setting makes me think it's a 'further' extension of the Monitor 1 screen - where I could continue to drag windows from 1 to 2, then 2 to 3.... which is not our goal.

The goal is to have any action on Monitor 2 (be duplicated in real time) on Monitor 3.

The purpose is - that Monitor 3 will be facing a patient sitting across from the doctor.

He wants to control only what they can see on Monitor 2; while only his Monitor 3 faces them. That's why I included a picture, that explains it better.

Yes, if you select "Duplicate Desktop on 2 and 3", then 2 and 3 will be the same as each other, and 1 will be independent.
