How do I figure out if my motherboard needs a BIOS update?

Hey! I’m going to start building my first PC... I already have all of the parts except the GPU. I’m using the AMD Athlon 200GE which requires my motherboard to be in the latest update. If it’s not I need to order a boot kit from AMD and update it myself. My question is how can I figure out if my motherboard is updated? I don’t see it on the Manuel or anything... I don’t want to build the PC as a way to test it, because if it doesn’t work, I don’t have thermal paste to replace the CPU fan after removing it, if you know what I mean...

Thanks!

Solution
Your BIOS should tell you the version you are running.
Go to your motherboards makers website support and locate your exact motherboard. They will have the latest BIOS version for download. Compare the version number to what your BIOS says you are running.
