Hi, I wanna find out how much heat each CPU on the market dissipates. By about how much does heat dissipation vary Between 2 same core/speed/stepping CPUs? Can I rely on companies' data sheets? Is there a website that covers this topic?

I have exactly, and I do mean <i>exactly</i>, the link you need.

<A HREF="http://users.erols.com/chare/elec.htm" target="_new">Here it is.</A>

It covers just about every CPU you could possibly be interested in.

OMFG! That's a lot of processors!

But I have some questions:
All the figures are what I'd get in real life while running a stress test?
What variation, in +-%, will there be between 2 same processors?
What's the differance between "Thermal Design Power" and "Max Power Dissipation"?
