hi everyone

so i ran cpuz and says in the memory tab dram freq is 400 fsb ram is 1:2 now in spd tab says max bandwidth pc6400 400mhz and then it has the timing tables so as i understand its running at 800mhz but my memory is pc8500 1066 and as i see it i have to go to bios and increase my ram voltage to 2.1 and set the timing cpuz shows also cpuz shows the voltage 2.1 for 533mhz and currently it set to 1.8v and 400mhz now if i increase will the temp of memory get hotter ? and it should be fine cuz its ment to run at that voltage right? and i read that its very little diff between 800mhz and 1066 is that correct.

so what do you suggest?

It will get hotter(higher speed and voltage) but it will be fine. Now i assume you have FSB 200Mhz(as your ram at 1:2 runs at 400mhz) so if thats the case having ram running at 533mhz/ddr1066 will indeed make no difference at all, apart from that bit of extra heat that might be useful in winter ;]

I suggest - change it and see for yourself. If you wont see difference you can always revert back to ddr800@1.8v
