I have Windows XP Pro SP2 on a Dell T3400
The computer reports it has no internet connection and will not connect through the Ethernet Cable to my router.
I have downloaded and used a repair for the TCP/IP from Microsoft and I still have the problem.
I have looked for an IP address through the command editor: ipconfig & ipconfig -a and it returns no results.
How can I find
a) whether there is an IP address
b) if there is an address, what is it
