How do I fix a broken cable in my motherboard?

I was trying to redo my cable management and I was fine until I tried to unplug the USB 3.0 cable from my motherboard. It didn't want to come out at first, but after a couple tries the cable separated from the plug part. Now the plug is stuck inside the motherboard. Is there any way to fix this? Or will my warranties cover it?

Case is NZXT - S340 (Black/Blue)
Motherboard is ASRock - AB350M Pro4

Can't be fixed and not covered under warranty , because it was caused by the user.

Sad to say this but my colleague, SR-71, above is right. You could try and remove the plug from the board using some needle nose pliers and a lot of patience but even if that comes out you're going to have to contact NZXT for a replacement front panel assembly for which you're likely going to have to pay a fee for. The board on the other hand, if the connector damages the port itself then the warranty wont cover it. you could yet contact ASRock and see what they say.

You may be able to gently remove the blue part from the board(may need small screw drivers or something).

If you contact NZXT, they may sell a replacement part. I know Silverstone does(upgraded usb ports on a case).

Actually, this is an easy repair for someone with decent soldering skills. It will require a low wattage soldering iron with a pencil tip. Do you know anyone who works with electronics? they should be able to help you with this without too much trouble. But beware: it will take some skill to fix it, and if you or a friend has not got experience with soldering, you should not try this, because it is fairly easy to make a bad situation much worse, possibly killing the mobo. But it can be fixed with patience and skill.

Damn, I guess I'll just have to find another $140 because I really want front USBs and it looks like the blue part will jot come out of my motherboard.
