Thinking I knew what I was doing, I formatted my c drive using cmd with plans to reinstall windows using a usb drive. However, to my surprise, the c drive appears to be gone all together, although there is now a “drive x.” So, while I attempted to reinstall windows with the usb drive, there is no drive to select so that I can install. How do I fix these problems? Thanks in advance.

Does the drive show up when booting into BIOS?
You didn't put important details in your post like complete PC build information or what version of windows you are trying to reinstall. Sorry but most people can't read your mind. If the drive does not show up in the BIOS either you have an installation error or the drive is most likely bad.

Sorry, I thought all pcs are generally the same. I want to reinstall win11. I don’t know much in terms of exact hardware, but I know already that it can handle win11. It’s a Sager laptop. So… if anyone can post a guide on how to fix these problems, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

Please post a picture of what you see when you're going through the install, and it asks where you want to insta;;.
Upload your pic to imgur.com, post the link here.

Oh, I thought I would need to format the drive first. So, what you’re telling me is that I need a whole new computer now?
NO, not a whole new PC. (probably)

That image is just showing the drive is not connected, or not working.

Verify it is still connected properly.
If it appears to be, possibly try a new drive.
If that fails, then the motherboard may be faulty. Key words..'may be'.

I believe I made a mistake with a bios setting. As a result, I am now getting a message in diskpart saying there are no fixed drives to show. It just keeps getting worse… If anyone can provide an easy to follow solution, it would be appreciated.
Note, I don’t remember what bios setting I changed, yes, I have a pc, but… unfortunately I have special needs with a bad memory, so I can’t always remember important things like this. I don’t mean to be not helpful for someone who wants to assist me, but this is all the info that I can give.

Restore your bios to defaults, plug in an USB OS install media, boot of that, install of that, if that doesn't work
fixing a missing c drive then your hardware is at fault.
