How do i fix my usb removable device

Hello,

my usb stick is not working, it use to work but for the last 2 weeks everytime i insert it into my laptop it does not show up, i have a lot of important documents on it, can it be fix? anyone??

does it show up under disk management sometimes devices loose their drive letter for whatever reason. Try a diffrent USB port and a diffrent computer if all of this fails it is quite possible it is dead.

If the flash device doesn't show up in disk management, it's most likely failed electronically(either the controller or flash memory).

It will cost between 800 and 1500 dollars to recover and even then, due to the nature of flash memory, you won't get all your data back(85-90% at best).

The good news is that you can get a free diagnostic from a reputable data recovery company and find out how much before you pay.
