Im having problems with my new pc, i just finished building it 2 days ago but i seem to be experiencing the same problem everytime i turn it on (Reboot and Select Proper Boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot Device and press a key) i have already tried 1. fixing all the connections.
2.Entering my bios and setting up my Boot priorities to my drive with Os in it. The computer wont read my windows 7 as this might be that its not an authentic copy and i dont kno what to do but, i wanna play on my new build HELP!!!

I got the disc from a friend whos is a computer programer and the disc does not have the windows 7 label on it but, when i insert it onto my laptop its reads the disc perfectly fine.

Anyone can download a copy of Windows 7 and burn it to DVD or USB as long as it is a genuine image from Microsoft. If you have a legal license and key and are not planning to crack the software after you install, then you are okay.

When you said you built the PC, did you just install Windows or did you load a bunch of stuff on there already? In other words, can you just redo the install or do you need to do a repair install that keeps all your stuff?

Sorry if this is all coming out weird but this is my first time using this website, and i dont know where to go and access these setting, i only know how to get into the bios :/

As long as you can boot to the DVD, you can follow this guide: http://getintopc.com/tutorials/how-to-install-windows-7-step-by-step-method-for-beginners/

The image in step 2 is where you can choose to Repair your computer.

Or you can just do a clean install, by selecting "Install now" at step 2. If you get a list of Windows versions, you need to select the one that matches your key. If your key is for Windows 7 Home Premium, then choose that one. If an x86 or x64 version is a choice, you probably want the x64 version.
When you get to step 3 you select Custom install.
Then you will probably see what is in step 5, just select each one and hit delete until you end up with all unallocated space, as step 4 shows.
After your screen looks just like step 4, just hit next and follow the prompts. I never create my own partitions, I realize it says to in step 5, but it is unnecessary. The install will take care of that. Just follow the prompts and hopefully it will install ok.

The problem that i am having is that my windows wont launch. The dvd wont load up when i reboot.
