Hi,
I have a problem where my computer is skipping randomly when playing back videos. It happens for every player that I've tried and I'm not sure if it is a problem with the players or my codecs or if my hardware is just too old and slow.
To more specifically describe my issue, the video and audio seem to lag at random intervals. It's mostly noticeable in the audio as it makes a garbled noise, like it is repeating the last few milliseconds of audio repeatedly, sometimes for a split second and sometimes up to 2 or 3 seconds. Which admittedly doesn't seem huge, but when it happens 4 to 5 times every time you play a video file (or DVD), depending on the length of the video, it is extremely annoying.
So like I said, I'm not sure if it is my computer just not being able to handle it, or if it is a codec problem or what.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
