How do I fix this random black screen?

So, I was working on a Microsoft Word document for my promotion. However, as I was about to show my brother the promotion, a random black screen came up. I tried using Ctrl+Alt+Del, but it didn't even work. The only thing that would work was me pressing F9, but that was only changing the screen. This also randomly happened to me 3 times yesterday. Am not sure why this is even happening. My computer didn't have these type of issues in the past, also not to mention that my computer is pretty new.
So, is there any way to get rid of the black screen? I would appreciate it if someone replied. Thanks.

Nah, when I usually use the Internet it goes off. I use an Nvida graphics card I believe.

Update the graphics card drivers if you haven't already.
