Hi! I'm having some problems lately.

I tried Forza Horizon 5 .but stutters? Why does it stutter?
If anyone needs my PC specs here they are:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600
GPU: GTX 1050 TI
RAM: 8 GB

I'm not talking about a large lag that is unplayable, I'm talking about like 60 fps and then 1 second stutter dropping to 1 FPS and then back to 60 FPS
It's not that big of a issue but it kills the mood of the game

Low ram, both capacity and speed. You could try this:

this step by step in order (read till end):
  • Make sure ram is on slot 2 and 4
  • Disconnect from internet
  • Uninstall gpu driver using DDU (clean and do not restart).
  • Uninstall all the processors (is a must, should be 12 on yours, also when it asks for restart...

  • Disconnect from internet
  • Uninstall gpu driver using DDU (clean and do not restart).
  • Uninstall all the processors (is a must, should be 12 on yours, also when it asks for restart, click on no and keep uninstalling all processors) on device manager like this:

and the chipset driver/software in control panel (if there is none just skip)

  • restart the pc to bios, flash your mobo bios to the latest, then after updating bios go to bios again, then load default or optimized settings, find AMD SVM and IOMMU options, enable them (if the option is only auto and disable, just leave it auto), set your XMP/Manual OC and PBO/XFR back then save and exit.

  • boot up to windows and install the latest Chipset driver on the mobo web page (should be 3.10.22), reboot, and make sure in power plan, amd ryzen balanced is used, and then connect to internet.

  • Install the latest gpu driver.

*do this all offline until reboot after installing chipset driver, also you may reboot to bios after all of this to set the XMP (and previous settings you did). Download needed files (highlighted word) before doing step 1, do the step by orders.

  • Run cmd as admin, then do chkdsk /x /f /r, after that do sfc /scannow

  • And check windows update (and optional updates) if there is any and install them (except chipset in optional update).
I Would advice to upgrade your ram to something like 16GB 3600mhz kit, then you could just enable XMP and drop the speed to 3466 or 3200. If you want to fine tune the timings at lower speed like 3466 or 3200, you can give info of your ram, if it's corsair sticks tell the ver. in the ram sticker label, otherelse, go give thaiphoon burner report and zentimings read

Your GPU is 64% slower than the minimum required GTX 970 for Forza Horizon 5.

https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-970-vs-Nvidia-GTX-1050-Ti/2577vs3649

Your CPU is slightly faster than the recommended R 5 1500X,

https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/AMD-Ryzen-5-2600-vs-AMD-Ryzen-5-1500X/3955vs3921

...but it is likely bottlenecked by having to wait for the GPU to catch up to the rendering data it sends it, at least in games beyond the 1550 Tis's capabilities anyway. This is probably why you have those huge frame drops. This would be the case even at lowest graphics settings, which is what Minimum requirements are based on.

Ryzen CPUs, especially older models, also need at least 3200 speed RAM to work at their best, but what's really holding back the CPU most in that game is the slow GPU.

Lastly, if you should decide you want to upgrade your GPU, just make sure you have (or get) a PSU that can handle it. You didn't even put your PSU in your listed system specs.

I personally wont recommend userbenchmark as it's not accurate. 970 is still capable for the game. For that game, in my personal experience, using 8GB of ram is already tormenting, add an ssd and it would be better a little bit because page file is more responsive. For ryzen, the best to do is update the bios to agesa 1.2.0.3 if available, or the latest (just make sure it's not agesa 1.2.0.4++) because it does have alot of bugs, and do 2x8GB above 3000mhz. For 1500X, using the latest agesa 1.2.0.3, it could be able to do 3200 CL16, or even better 3466, since silicon lottery does also matters.

I never said the 970 wasn't capable of playing it without problems (with appropriate settings anyway), just the 1550 Ti. I also disagree with your assessment of UBM, but I'm not going to get into a back and forth about it.
