How do I format disc to burn DVDS for use in DVD players?

DVDs are not playing in DVD player after burn.

Hi newcomer and welcome to the Tom's hardware forum.

What file types you burn? .avi, mpeg, mpg, mkv....or are the Audio and video folders of the normal DVDs.
