thank you for explaining. my only option is my c drive should i give it a try or just forget about it? i dont know what to do.There are some apps (such as Recuva) that can attempt to recover permanently deleted files, but the longer you wait or if the drive was used a lot (which is the case for C:\), the more likely they're lost forever.
Also if you want to try, do not recover the data on the same drive. Doing so may cause the data you're attempting to recover to be overwritten because as far as the OS is concerned, that part of the drive is fair game. And this may not work on SSDs, because of how flash memory management works.
you will need to acquire another drive and use that.my only option is my c drive
Was this on a solid state drive, or a spinning HDD?i think there might have been some things in there i wanted im not really sure now i regret deleting them help please? would system restore get them back?
If it's been a few days, I don't think it's worth trying because it's very likely the data is corrupted.thank you for explaining. my only option is my c drive should i give it a try or just forget about it? i dont know what to do.
solid state drive. i emptied them from the recycle bin about three hours ago.Was this on a solid state drive, or a spinning HDD?
How long ago was this emptying of the Recycle Bin?
Due to being an SSD, the TRIM function may have made this data totally gone.solid state drive. i emptied them from the recycle bin about three hours ago.
