How Do i get Directx 12?

So I recently upgraded to windows 10 and heard about the directX 12 gpu performance. So i looked on my computer and it still says directX 11.2. What do i do in order to get the directX12. (I've updated my AMD catalyst control and windows update is up to date. i have an A-10 6700 APU with Raedon HD 8670D graphics.)

DX12 hasn't been released yet.

i thought it came out when windows 10 was released.

Actually my bad run dxdiag by typing it in your start search it should say that your DirectX version is: 12

It stills says That I'm running DirectX 11.2

I'm not entirely sure if your chip set is supported but it should be sorry.

Windows 10 was released with Directx12.

HD 8670D has hardware support upto Directx11 but will benefit from Direcx12's API to some degree.

Microsoft DirectX is a collection of application programming interfaces (APIs) for handling tasks related to multimedia, especially game programming and video, on Microsoft platforms.

Directx12's API is more efficient than Directx11's API which there will be improvements had with older hardware as well, so i've read. One of the key focuses with Directx12 will be on the hardware level with Graphics card's supporting DX12 and when games/apps start being designed for it.

Windows 10 already has 12, it is reporting your GPU is only supporting DX11. It doesn't want to confuse you.
