How do I get files off my broken Android tablet?

My Android tablet screen broke, the touch screen does not work but it still displays everything fine, this happened after my cat knocked it off the sofa.

I have photos on my tablet that I want, but in order to connect my tablet to my computer I need to unlock the screen, which I cannot do because the touch screen does not work.
My tablet is an Archos 8o Cobalt

Oh, yes I did get it from Tesco!

then yes it does have a micro usb port and a OTG cable might work with a mouse
