I'm trying to get my ram to run at the right MHZ.

My build:
AMD FX - 8350 @ 4ghz
GA-990FXA-UD3 (rev. 3.0)
gskill Sniper F3-1866C9D-16GSR

CPU-Z shows:
DRAM FREQ: 669.7 MHZ, 3:10,9,9,9,24,33

My memory is currently in the 2 and 4th spot on the motherboard.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Right now you are at DDR3 1333. CPU-Z reports actual speed and the RAM is DDR or double data rate so it's times 2.

Look in BIOS for an XMP option. Some AMD boards have it. If so enable XMP. That should set your RAM to its rated speed.

If no XMP or XMP does not work you will have to set it manually.
Set the voltage to 1.5v
Set the speed to 1866.
Set the cas or CL or Cas latency to 9
Set tRCD to 10
Set tRP to 9
Set the tRAS to 28
Set Command Rate or CMD to 2T or 2N. I think Gigabyte calls it 2N.

Leave everything else alone and Save and Exit BIOS.
You are all set!

It looks like this fixed it! CPU-Z reads: DRAM freq: 937.6 MHZ, 3:14,9,10,9,28,37
Does this look right?
Also in CPU-Z, under the SPD tab, the Max Bandwidith reads "PC3-10700 (667 MHz)" Does this matter?

Thank you in advance!

If CPU-Z is reading 937 you are fine. The 3/14 is FSB : DRAM and not effected by what you just set. All the timings look fine. The max bandwidth should not matter.

You are all good!
