I am completely a noob when it comes to computers and I have no idea how to get started. When reformatting the internet cable was still plugged in but apparently it doesn't really affect the outcome. I don't know where to get started.
I have never used wifi on my computer and I don't think it is possible to get wifi on it because I have tried before to connect via wifi and it didn't work but then again I'm a noob a computers.
Please help me. Thank you

If you installed a clean Windows setup on the system, you need to load the network card drivers form the PC vendor. For a system with no connectivity you need to download those on another computer and copy them to the one with the issue and run the setup. If you did a factory reset using the options form the vendor, then it should have the drivers already installed.

Need some details about what is going on, how was it connected before? How exactly did you re-install Windows? Why did you re-install Windows in the first place?

If your computer isn't custom built and it's from a manufacturer like dell, look for any discs included that came with your computer including drivers for the computer. If you happen to find one, put it in the DVD Drive and load it up and see if there's an option that installs the network card drivers for the computer. If you have no luck, just connect via ethernet or get a wireless n usb adapter off ebay. they dont cost much.
